SAY - Social Action Youth

Social Youth Action is an exciting youth-led project co-ordinated by Women's Aid Federation NI to drive forward change for and with young people impacted by domestic abuse.

Working together, young people from Women's Aid groups across Northern Ireland have developed the innovative SAY website sayni.org.uk to help all children and young people learn about healthy relationships. This vital educational resource is filled with trauma-informed content, including information on different types of abuse, real-life stories and advice for young people on seeking help.

The SAY website is designed for use by all young people and by schools to enhance their delivery of healthy relationships education including our Heading for Healthy Relationships schools programme.

It is a powerful tool as it incorporates the voices of lived experience into the curriculum.

"Young people deserve to live in a society where they can live free from abuse and feel empowered to create change, and that’s exactly what the SAY project is all about.”
