Support In Schools for children & young people experiencing domestic abuse

Our Domestic Abuse Specialists work with schools to provide one to one trauma informed support for children experiencing domestic abuse abuse; prevention and education programmes including Heading for Healthy Relationships, Helping Hands and Bully Busters.

We provide Social Guardian training and Safe School initiative, and enable teachers responding to Operation Encompass to support children in their care who have experienced domestic abuse.

Police respond to one incident of domestic abuse every 16 minutes.

For every incident, we know the impact on children living with domestic abuse can be devastating.

Over the last twelve months, Women's Aid ABCLN has supported 723 children and young people living with domestic abuse across Antrim, Ballymena, Carrickfergus, Larne and Newtownabbey.

Together we are working to end domestic abuse.
