Responsible to:   Women’s Aid ABCLN Floating Support Manager 
Hours of work:   37 hours per week
Flexibility is required as the post may require some evening/ weekend/ work, as per the demands of the project
Time-in-lieu is available for additional hours worked when approved in advance. 
Duration: Ends 31.03.19
Location: Post 2: Ballymena Police Station
Travel required throughout full PSNI district.
The Domestic Abuse Support Worker post has been developed to allow Women’s Aid staff to work within PSNI settings to extend the support available to victims of Domestic and Sexual Violence.  
Key Responsibilities:
•To provide a sensitive, pro-active short to medium term advocacy, support and information service to victims/survivors of domestic violence focussing on those most at risk. 
•Provide a co-ordinated response for victims/survivors and children experiencing domestic violence
•Identify and respond to the safety and support needs of victims/survivors and children
•Ensure that abuse victims/survivors have access to a range of services to meet their needs
•Work in partnership with the PSNI, Supporting People and the Northern Health and Social Care Trust to meet the agreed aims and objectives.
