Bold Voices

Date:

Young people from across Northern Ireland have come together to air their views on the social issues affecting their communities, in a series of short films broadcast on UTV.

Six of the films - What Is Gay?; Travellers: We Are Not All The Same; I Am Homeless; It's Not Joy-Riding; Don't Shhh ... Domestic Abuse; and The Beauty Of Difference - made up the half-hour BoldVoices programme aired on UTV on Thursday 4th August.

Six groups of people, aged 14-25, worked together to produce the films and subsequent programme - presented by two of the young film-makers, Cara Woods and Clare Wilkinson.

The project was undertaken by the Community Foundation for Northern Ireland Voices Initiative and BoldFace Productions, aimed at making young voices heard.
