Volunteer Week 2016
Women’s Aid ABCLN recognised the contributions of their fantastic Volunteers this week with a celebratory dinner held at the Dunsilly Hotel in Antrim, followed by entertainment provided by Magician Trevor Price.  36 volunteers, young volunteers and staff attended, with every volunteer being presented with a certificate from MLA Pam Cameron thanking them for their hard work over the last year.
Laura Lacey, Volunteer coordinator with Women’s Aid ABCLN, paid tribute to the volunteers by saying:
‘Without the support of our Volunteers our organisation simply could not survive. Their enthusiasm and commitment is unwavering. We are extremely grateful for their devotion, passion and loyalty and we thank them so much for all their hard work. On behalf of Women’s Aid ABCLN, to all our volunteers, we thank you most sincerely for your outstanding dedication and service”
Christine Corrigan, a Fundraising Volunteer from Antrim said:
“It was a fantastic evening with great food and entertainment. Nights like these give the volunteers a chance to meet each other and exchange experiences and stories of how they are involved in different roles. Nights like these also let the volunteers know how much they are greatly valued by Women's Aid ABCLN”.
Courtney McLaughlin, a young Volunteer in Ballymena said:
"Women’s Aid are an amazing organisation who do so much to help women and children. I'm proud to say that I volunteer for them. The evening was fantastic and it was a brilliant way for Women's Aid to give back to all their volunteers. "
