Women’s Aid Antrim, Ballymena, Carrickfergus, Larne & Newtownabbey (ABCLN) would like to thank staff and pupils from Ballymena Academy for their generous donation of £1,500 towards the Make It Better Appeal, which supports children and young people affected by domestic violence.

Miss McAllister, Ballymena Academy paid tribute by saying;
 ‘This year’s focus charity was Women’s Aid, and we were pleased to welcome Refuge Support Worker, Krystle Canning, into school on Tuesday, 23rd June, for the presentation of a cheque for £1500.  This will go towards continued support work in the Ballymena Area. We wish the team every success with their work in the community and all future fundraising events”.

Lorna Doherty, Fundraising Co-ordinator with Women’s Aid said, ‘Women’s Aid would like to thank Ballymena Academy for their fundraising support. Domestic Violence affects 1 in 4 families and with your support we can continue providing vital services to women and children. We thank pupils and staff who have kindly donated towards events organised throughout the year; your generosity has been greatly appreciated!”
