Women’s Aid ABCLN Celebrate Volunteer Week 2015

Women’s Aid ABCLN recognised the contributions of their fantastic Volunteers this week with a celebratory dinner held at the Side Door restaurant in Newtownabbey.

Laura Dillon, Volunteer coordinator with Women’s Aid ABCLN, paid tribute to the volunteers by saying:

‘Our Volunteers are pivotal to our organisation and contribute so much without expecting anything in return. Their passion and commitment is unwavering and without the work of the Volunteers our organisation simply could not survive. We are extremely grateful for their devotion, enthusiasm and loyalty and we thank them so much for all their hard work. They really are inspirational”

Tracie, a Volunteer in Newtownabbey said:
“Through my volunteering I have gained a confidence I didn’t know I could have, I have had many wonderful conversations with many wonderful women, and I have seen how vital charity support is in the lives of many who struggle.
I would recommend volunteering to anyone. There’s so many different projects looking for assistance in one form or another, and it is fun. Doing good work, for a good cause, and having a good natter. What’s not to love?”
