Green Pastures Church raises over £4,000 for Women’s Aid ABCLN

Women’s Aid Antrim, Ballymena, Carrickfergus, Larne & Newtownabbey (ABCLN) was delighted to receive £4,111.44 which was raised by Green Pastures at their Women’s Conference last month.

Green Pastures, Ballymena paid tribute by saying; ‘We are pleased to be supporting Women’s Aid who provide vital services in the local area to Women and Children who have been affected by Domestic Violence’.

Ruth Owen, Fundraising Co-ordinator with Women’s Aid said, ‘We would like to thank Green Pastures for their continued support to Women’s Aid ABCLN. Domestic Violence affects 1 in 4 women in their lifetime, be it physical, sexual, emotional, psychological or financial.  Anyone living with abuse is not to blame, nor are they on their own as support is available from a variety of agencies.’

Women’s Aid is dedicated to providing refuge and support to those living with abuse, informing them of options available including housing, financial and legal entitlements, with the aim of enabling women to make informed decisions and positive life choices.

Anyone experiencing domestic violence can access support by calling the 24hr Domestic & Sexual Violence Helpline on 0808 802 1414.
