Working with Fixers (the national movement of young people ‘fixing’ the future), young people involved in our organisation  made a short film to raise awareness of the impact of living with Domestic Violence.  Statistics show that children and young people’s education is impacted upon by 80% as a result of living with Domestic Violence, and the young people involved want to challenge their schools to respond to this issue.

The young person who took the lead role in the film says:
“I was fortunate to play the lead role in this short film, and I am very proud of it. It has really helped with my confidence and self-esteem. Hopefully this short film can be used to raise awareness amongst teachers in school.  Domestic violence is a serious issue that needs to be addressed”.
Claire Allen, project coordinator says “we are extremely proud of the young people involved in this short film. It is a vital tool which should be used to inform teachers on the prevalence of domestic violence”.
