Local New Look store supports Women’s Aid in raising funds for the Make It Better Appeal

Women’s Aid would like to thank members of staff from the New Look store in the Tower Centre, Ballymena in raising £108.00 for the Make It Better Appeal.

The funds raised will help to provide services to local children and young people whose education has been affected by domestic violence. Young people are the hidden victims of domestic violence and are significantly at risk of school dropout, exclusion and risk taking behaviours.

Diane Thornton, Store Manager for New Look Ballymena said ‘We are pleased to raise funds for the Make It Better appeal which will help to continue providing these services to local women and children living with domestic violence’.
Ruth Owen Fundraising Co-ordinator for Women’s Aid ABCLN says ‘It is great to receive local support from businesses in the area and we encourage local groups and business’s to take part in fundraising for the Make It Better appeal in the future’.
If interested please contact Ruth, Fundraising Coordinator on 07850003280 or alternatively email ruth.owen@womensaidabcln.org.

Anyone experiencing domestic violence can also access support by calling the 24hr Domestic Violence Helpline on 0800 917 1414.
